Years ago I was in London (UK) with my family and we just exited Hatton Cross underground station at Heathrow when we witnessed one of the BA Concorde aircraft taking off. The thunderous noise of the aircraft in the climb set off a few car alarms.

This event made think of getting more information on the visits of a BA Concord to Windsor, Ontario (CYQG) during the 1980’s. (Yes, the Concorde visited Windsor twice in a span of less than a year) Some people remembered these visits, but I had no dates or details. Emails to CYQG information were not answered, neither was the call to CYQG operations office.
I searched the internet but could only find one picture of the aircraft.
I called the Windsor Central Library and they got me in touch with the Local History Branch of the library. Mary Lou G… provided me with the attached articles from the Windsor star covering the visit as well as the reasons behind the visit.
I was hoping to find transcript of the Air Traffic Control conversation with the Concord. I am sure many of you would love to listen to it. I will keep trying.

For now, have fun reading the articles and send me any other information which may be of interest in relation to this event. CAM Member Andy P. has provided the attached pictures from his own collection.
